Tatkal didn't work for 3 days so had to bribe the TTE
I was with my wife, so needed a birth to travel from Patna to N Delhi.. It was the rush period after Diwali. IRCTC used to hang for 3 consecutive days at 8am in the morning... and it was too important for me to go to Delhi with my wife.. the only way I could make out was to catch a tout (actually a railway employee, whose part time job is to provide berths by taking commission/bribe by making a contact with at TTE ).. i was amazed with how fluently I was given two births... also, I was told that the jamming of Tatkal network is done deliberately by railway authorities.. as it happens everytime during such festive rush.. I hope there is someone to look in to it...
