One of the Sales Tax Officers having jurisdiction to issue New Registrations has contacted my Office & asked that we have to register ourselves with Vat. As the delay is of 3 years & 5 Months the Liability will be in Rs. Lacks. When I contacted my Tax Consultant he said yes we are default. Then Both the Tax Consultant & Officer visited my office & then asked me to be at the Bar where they are taking Drinks. I met them there & paid the Hotel Bills also & the deal was finalised. But when the same thing happens with my friend who is in pune his consultant has taken the Admn Relief from dept & paid the taxes with Interest. I approched my Tax Consultant he has told me that this is a whole Racket & Commissioners grant Admn Relief only to those whom these officers reccomends & the share in our deal also has to be paid to Coommnr. I dont know what is he telling is correct or wrong but he has given me the list of aprox 30-35 businessmen who has gone through the same episode & asked me to call many of them & ask the procedure. I was shocked to see that the Officer is making aprox 3-4 Lacks per month with the same & has builed the ********** Bunglow in Barshi & Farm house at his native village. I want to stop this silly thing & hence have written this mail pl do the needful to curb the corruption. My Tax Consultant has told me that the Officer has paid 5 Lacks to be in Barshi Sales Tax Office after completing 3 years. He & his Senior is making huge money as both are in Barshi for 5-7 years & literally are the most corrrupt officers I have ever seen.
Pl stop if possible otherwise try to transfer them so that the Corruption Racket will be demolished.
