Constable couldn't produce receipt so didn't pay the bribe/fine
I accidently made a right turn at an intersection which didn't allow a right turn. The constable stopped me. I asked for the fine amount. He said Rs 200 or something. I said ok but I want a receipt. He said that for a receipt the senior officer needs to come and he wasn't going to come for another 20-30 mins. Or else the fine will be sent to me and I will need to come to court. He was clear warning me with dire consequences. I called his bluff and said sure, send me the fine slip and I will appear in court. Then I quickly got into my car before he could think what to do next.
The guy hadn't noted down my drivers license number or anything else. I am not going to wait with bated breath for the fine slip to land at my doorstep.
