Getting warrant of arrest for not bribing, having committed no crime
My driver was backing into a carpar under supervision. A driver on two-wheeler rammed into my car. My wife called the police who took the violator to Safderjung hospital where he was declared out of danger. I was out of town. Three days later the Police called us to report to the Station and forced me to either pay up or sign a blank paper. I refused both. Then they threatened us [me and my wife]. I signed two blank papers to rescue my wife. 2 1/2 years later I got a non-bailable warrant of arrest for causing serious accident and not appearing in Court. The judge was equally corrupt. Instead of investigating the facts, ordered me to insure that my driver is presented to the court. By that time my driver had shifted home to Calcutta. When I failed to present my driver [we could not trace him], the due date was over. The judge insulted us, made us pay Rs 10,000 surity which was filled up by the Police in the blank paper I had signed. And this lady judge also insulted my wife. That day, if I had a gun, I would shoot them all despite my advanced age. I was not party to the "accident'; I was not in town, I was not driving, I had not violated ANY ********** traffic rule. But simply because I refused to pay 500 rupees bribe I spent thousands in court fees, surity, and at least 5 hearings, each costing 1000 to 1500 rupees by way of lawyer fee. I HOLD EUROPEAN DRIVING LICENCE AND HAVE 45 YEARS OF ACCIDENT FREE *******
