Did not pay bribe, but ready to pay fine.
Today while driving in Hyderabad in my car with an Haryana Registration number was stopped by a traffic cop near Hitec City Flyover at around 1.00 pm. I showed him my car documents and told him that I dont have an NOC. He told me the is Rs. 620/-
When I told him, I am ready to pat the fine, he told me not to pat fine but some thing as per my wish will do and he will let me go. I informed him that I was a volunteer for traffic with Gurgaon Traffice Police and so not ready to pay bribe, but will pay the fine. He tried to convince me not to go for the fine. I clearly told the cop, I am ready to pay the fine but will not pay a bribe. Unable to convince me, he gave back my papers and let me go.
I felt very good at heart that I did not pay a bribe.
