Ended up paying more to lawyer than i would have paid the policemen as bribe.
You are in the larger vehicle. Therefore, you have more money to pay as bribe, hence you must be at fault. This is the logic followed by the police everywhere. Very unfortunate. I have been through this few years back.
Long story short, the two-wheeler rider was drunk, dashed my car, took him to hospital, he died, i wound up going to court for 3 long years because i refused to pay off the policemen, case dismissed after 5 hearings. Ended up paying more to lawyer than i would have paid the policemen as bribe.
