Greedy Traffic Police
This was in May 2009. We have been to India on a vacation. My brother was driving and we were going to Kukatpally from Koti. Near Ameerpet traffic signal we had to stop as the trafic signal changed to Red. Suddenly we could hear a bang sound and we could feel going forward, surprise a huge van carrying **********lot of weight banged into our car.There was a huge bump on our car boot and we luckily escaped as we were wearing seat belts. We could see couple of police men near the signal but none bothered to come and attend the incident. Later a senior officical walked towards us and asked both the vechicles to be parked out of the traffic and we found a safe place. The traffic police was very much interested in other suff than to see what had actually happened. we gathered the details of the truck driver and the owner, called up the owner and he promised to pay us the repair charges. The senior official was trying to stop each and every new and ********** cars and demanding for some paper work. Later on we thought there was no point in relying in these ppl and wanted to leave the place. It was then the traffic police thought that he should talk to us. To my astonishment the traffic police was directly bribing us saying that his police men left all their work and were covering us and protecting us and that we got to pay them for their HARDWORK?. my brother was so strong and did not want to pay bribe and asked the traffic police if we had to pay the bribe for following the traffic rules and stopping on red signal.
Dont know what the traffic police thought to himself but he told us to leave.
