No excess fine than mentioned on Challan
I was driving my car, and just before a Red light, before stopping I received a call.Immediately 2 policemen were on a Bike and stopped me. I shower all my documents,and my driving license. They told me that the fine for Talking while driving will be Rs.1000. I Instantly told him to issue me a challan and I will pay Rs.1000/= immediately.
He issued challan for Rs.100 and asked me to pay Rs.1000.
I strongly opposed and told him with confidence that I will pay whatever is written on the challan only.
They thought for few seconds and took only Rs.100 from me.
And then he commented, " Sahab, aap jaise log kam hi milte hain aajkal" ( Sir, I find few people only like you, now a days).
This shows, WE need to be confident and strong to deal with the Corruption menace.
These sort of things keeps happening, but KNOWING and confidence helps.
