Regular Mass Bribe Collection by Gurgaon police to have money for evening Drinks and Merry *******
During last few years I've witnessed on various occasions, couple of police constables/inspectors would appear from nowhere and stand on rather less crowded road intersections in Sector 55-56, Gurgaon (Particularly the circle near the Audi Car Showroom near Sector 56, Gurgaon). They stop people on motorcycles and old cars as potential targets. (New Car owners might be better socially connected and thus difficult to extract bribe). They NEVER carry any Traffic-Challan books, instead these policemen would simply bargain with people and get money for no traffic-offences. They police guys would collect money for half an hour or maximum an hour and then move to the nearby bars with their bribe collection. This is very regular and it has no fixed pattern, but evening hours (5-8 pm) would have more possibility for such mass bribe collections. I feel pity for poor guy on motor cycle who comes back home from work in evening and fall in the trap of government's official criminals of Gurgaon. *******
