How to get the Death Certificate in Kanpur

My husband expire on 1st October 2012 and I haven't received his Death Certificate yet. Currently I live In Delhi and can't pay frequent visits to Kanpur, I requested a Death certificate from the Municipal Dept. but haven't received the Certificate yet.
