An Honest Sincere RTO Inspector at Indiranagar RTO

Reported on October 31, 2012 from Bangalore , Karnataka  ι Report #31162

I had this driving test for my DL-LMV on 7th Sept.12. Like many others, my scepticism about government officials doesn't need much explanation. Here I was asked to be at the Indiranagar RTO at 11:30 AM for the DL test but then somehow it got stretched till 3 PM due to the huge number of applicants. I had to miss my work and I was on the verge of almost losing it given the merciless sun too. But when my turn came, this RTO Inspector - a fine gentlemen indeed, asked me my name first and a few other questions on signals et all. When I started to drive and went on to manouver a few turns and twists, he saw me being too cautious and pointed out a few finer points on how to use the horn in a certain scenario, which side should I focus in a busy incoming traffic, how to ensure that the opposite driver in a turn should also be careful and not just me alone - All in all, he explained me so politely and calmly that I forgot the uneasiness of the long wait. This officer did earn my respect for his professionalism, politeness and keen observations. I somehow don't recall his name but he a fine young officer and I just wanted to express my appreciation of him.
