I never faced a situation that forces me to pay bribes
I am a marketing personnel of my company, and I drive in Delhi for at least 150km a day i Delhi. I have seen many people break traffic rules, and paying bribes in lieu of that.
Ironically for a Delhiite, I never paid a bribe. I always resorted to strict code of conduct & I never had to pay any bribe as I never broke any law. I believe that if we aide by the traffic rules strictly, be it lane driving, honking, or red light jumping, we will never have to pay bribe in any form. It is us who, for a little benefit of ours, enter into misconduct, and encourage the sin of bribing. If all of refuse to pay bribes at all, then no one in this world can coerce us to do that.
I urge all my fellow Indians, not to initiate the paying of bribes, and for a every time we do that, I am sure that the incidences of bribing will go down. It is always easier to blame o others, but, let us introspect ourselves. If all of us do not do it, then whom will they get the bribes from? Before blaming on others it's time for introspection...........
So next time you pay a bribe and blame it on others, just rethink................
