No bribes paid and got my RC within 7 working days
Having my experience with Delhi RTO last year, I was expecting similar experience in Bangalore RTO when I wanted to get hypothecation cancelled. I went to Koramangala RTO with all the documents required, both original and photocopies. Yes, I had to ask around for the correct room no., and finally I reached the counter. I had to ask the officer two or three times the procedure, and he replied me once, but the local people were kind enough to translate what the officer wanted. I approached another counter, paid the requisite fees, came back to the first counter, submitted my documents along with challan, and I was given a hand-written receipt. That's it. All done, in about 1 hour, and not paying a single bribe. Yes, I was asked by a couple of brokers every now and then, but I turned them all down. I went home, hoping that the RC delivery will take atleast few weeks to a month, but I was surprised once again when the RC arrived just within a week. So yes, I do believe that you can still get your work done without paying bribes, and it might take a little more of your time and patience, but at no extra cost than the actuals.
