I had applied for my 3 month old son passport online under tatkal scheme , which was unfortunately not accepted as a tatkal application because both of us me and my wife have not yet changed name endorsed on our passport , since I am working abroad I had taken sworn affidavit from Indian embassy in Qatar I got the appointment for 20 th may my wife managed to submit the application by submitting all necessary documents required today morning we got a call for police verification a policeman visited home ask for 200 rs which was given and asked us to come to police station in evening when my in law and my wife went he asked them to get declaration form from passport office or else pay 300 rs and then after that he said if you need your passport urgently pay1500 rs I will hand deliver ur form to crime branch and you will get passport in three days.
Over al I had to pay 2 k for my infant passport verification .
