Not carrying original RC copy of the Car

I was on the way to ********** Mahal along with my family when a group of policemen stoped my car near ********** Mahal and asked to show the documents. Though I showed them all the valid documents in original but was carying photocopy of the RC. In a hurry while leaving from Gurgaon forgot to carry to original. The policeman threatened me to book a challan for 4000 and impound the vehicle as it was runing on CNG and the photocopy of the RC could be fake. I asked the Guy if it was the case then how come my insurance papers & the Polution certificate mention type of fuel as duel petrol& CNG. But the guy never listned. In order to avoid the inconvenience to the family members I settled down for Rs.2000.00 as bribe. I think this group near ********** Mahal harasses people like this & they need to be taught a lesson.
