Watched auto driver paying bribe to traffic police

Yesterday I was returning from work by an auto around 7pm from Malad (W). The auto driver was randomly stopped by a policeman after going CORRECTLY through a signal (he did not jump any trafiic lights). The policeman took the driver aside and asked to see his license. The license was fine, but the driver was wrongly accused of jumping a traffic signal. He paid a bribe of fifty rupees to get away. Of course, the policeman did not give him any receipt for this transaction. I am ashamed to say that I was in a hurry to get back home and did not fight with the police on behalf of the auto driver.
