Indiranagar RTO BIG KUDOS TO BASAVARAJ Head of RTO
Guys- I will keep my Story short. I wanted a duplicate RC book from indiranagar RTO. I went through all the pains... but here is what I did.
1) Approached a middle man and he asked me 1800 Rs without any damn documents. I said NO.
2) Approached RTO officer and after verification of Docs .... he asked me to pay the fees of some Rs 280 or so.
What you need is - COPY of FIR, report. Non-traceable report. Vehicle emission, and Insurance to be Current. One foolish thing is .. they asked for my photograph where is no space for the photograph to be pasted or stapled.
3) Fun part begins here.....
My vehicle was 10 years OLD and the person who recieves the application form does not accept without Original Documents like ... Paper work of 10 years back which is held by RTO.
If you see RTO office where they do store OLD docs its like all the rats eaten papers, and never ever you can search a vehicle original docs which is 10 years.
I was made to wait in the hall for mroe than 2 Hours as they said they are searching the file. Even if GOD comes he cannot search. I got really frustated and started shouting. They sai dsome papers were moved to Krishnarajapuram office so lets wait till the file comes.. asked me to come after 5 days. I said NO. He was expecting money from me and I did not pay him.
This is how it worked....
I went to Mr Basavaraj who heads the RTO Indiranagar. I told himthe facts. and my pain points. He just put his inititals and asked me to go the counter and give it for further processing.
Magic worked out... those bastards who were waiting for my money was shocked to see me coming with hte boss signature .. all of them who were palying games was Silent. Accepted my application and Iam yet to recieve my smart card.
So have patience and DONOT PAY THE BRIBE. It will be good if youa re Local... I mean Kannada speaking person...
