Hello Raghu, I would like to apply for a ration card for a gas connection. Although my dad has one with my name included which has expired now. Since my dad shifted to a new location and I have moved out. I would require a seperate ration card. Since I stay at Kodihalli I approached the office near RBANMS ground. I went to the office to ask for a form, a person there guided me to a near by shop for the same. I paid Rs 5 for 2 forms (costing Rs 1 each) and never got the change in return. Since the form was in kannada (i can only speak Kannada), i asked the shopkeeper for help. He guided me to an agent who was hanging out there who gave me the details. However I was not confortable with going through an agent and so went to the office directly. At the office I spoke to the PRO who had a nonchalant attitude and everytime I asked him a question asked me to read the notice board which was in Kannada. I told him that I cannot read, immediately came the question from which part of India belonged to, which was offending. After which none of my questions were answered. So I returned home and asked someone to read the form that I had purchased from the shop. It was only instructions on documentations for the ration card and not the application. So to sum it up, I need your advice to get a ration card and wouldnt like to bribe anyone for it.I have paid a bribe before but now to clean the system I want to start with me. So please also suggest how these corrupt or badly behaved people can be trapped at the office.I was contemplating approaching TV9 or the lokayukta. Looking forwar4d to your suggestions
