I am planning to get married in February 2014.
I will be 25 years of age and my fiance will be 27 years of age that time.
We plan on getting married in Court.
My fiance currently lives in the UK and he will be coming here in mid-February 2014, and will be here maximum for a month (say until the end of March 2014).
We plan to get married in the last week of February 2014.
And I have learnt that we need to file the application atleast 30days before we plan on getting married in court.
My question is that, "Can I file our marriage application alone with all the required documents myself, as my fiance will not be present in India in Jan 2014 (i.e. 30 days before the marriage date).
What is the procedure for our situation?
Secondly, if we get married in a temple/gurudwara as soon as he arrives in India, and then we want to register our marriage, what would be the procedure and timescale for the same?
Also, how long does it take to get marriage certificate after the court marriage ceremony?
