Corruption free experience at DGFT
Hi,
We applied for Import Export Code at Office of Joint Director General of Foreign Trade at Kendriya Sadan, Bangalore. Due to a problem at our office, it got returned back to the office of DGFT. When I went to the office with the complaint that I had not received it, they were courteous and mentioned that it had returned back due to postman not being able to locate our new office. After verifying my identity and company documents, they resent the same to my address. This time, I went to the post office and informed them about the issue of non-delivery and informed them of my office location [ Better to give to them in writing]. The post man visited my office once immediately to ascertain the direction. I received the IEC code the next day through registered post. This experience was heartening to me in that no one ever asked me for a bribe, and the entire experience was pleasant.
