No bribe or harassment
My IEC had returned undelivered and I came to find out the problem. I expected to be shunted here and there, but in the DGFT office at Bangalore, none of this happened. I met the PRO and told that my IEC has been returned undelivered and she directed me to a young officer who was in a high position called Deputy director general of foreign trade. The officer met me immediately, and after giving me a hearing, immediately directed his staff to send the IEC again. All in 5 minutes. No bribes demanded. It was amazing to see govt working like that.
