No Bribe for renewing my Driver's License

Reported on July 28, 2012 from Bangalore , Karnataka  ι Report #31276

I had to get my Driver's License renewed. All I was required to do was to fill up the relevant form, get it verified by the office superintendent and get myself photographed digitally at the next counter after paying the relevant fees. In between all these I had to get myself medically checked by a government doctor and get his signature and seal on the medical report. By oversight, I missed this medical report. Four days later I got a call from the clerk at the RTO that my medical report was not submitted and that I had to do so. I went back to the RTO, collected the form for medical check up, got myself medically checked and signed and sealed by the doctor and finally submit this to the clerk at the RTO. After the submission, the clerk told me that my DL will be sent to my home address by registered post in 15 days. I received my renewed DL in less than 10 days - all WITHOUT PAYING ANY BRIBE except for the renewal fee. In case, if I was asked to pay a bribe I would have screwed their happiness but that's another story!
