LPG existing connection Transfer - From Husband to wife

We approached local Indane gas dealer in Nallkunta, for transfer of connection in my mother-in-law name from her husband, who died recently. After submitting duly all documents and application, we were surprised the dealer insisted for INR 500/- and was rude to say he wont do the transfer untill I pay the bribe and refused to take the application itself. He warned would cancel the connection if we dont respond fast.

We requested we cant pay that much but he was persistent and finally we gave the money to get the transfer done with in 2 days, as we cant survive without gas supply.


I just wonder Hyderabad stands third in nation for bribe payments, it shall have been at No.1 as corruption is ********** rooted here. But people are used to it and go easy not to report anywhere...
