Smooth processing at the passport office
I recently renewed my passport through tatkal in Bangalore. Although, I could not get an online appointment, I went straight to the regional passport ofice with all my documents. They gave me an appointment to the PSK (passport ********** Kendra) for the same day. Once the reached there, the processing was very smooth and I finished my work in one day.
I would suggest to those who are unable to get an online appointment to visit the regional passport office instead of going through an agent and paying exhorbitant amounts. One agent told me that he can get me an appt for Rs5000. Happy I refused and instead got my work done with minimal effort and without paying anything extra.
